We urge everyone to write to the post office and suggest Falcon as the next location! The best option is to send an individual “snail mail” letter to the address on the mailer. BUT: if you’re reluctant to do that or just don’t have time, feel free to send your comments to Friends of Falcon via email. The email is info@thefriendsoffalcon.org. Be sure to include your name and mailing address (we won’t share; see note below). We’ll print the letters out and mail them on your behalf. Below are some thoughts and talking points to help get the creative juices flowing. Regardless of whether you want to include any of those or just write your own, we really hope you’ll participate!
SOME TALKING POINTS:
* Falcon is within the 10 mile relocation area
* Falcon has an estimated population of 38,000 whereas Peyton has fewer than 300 (according to the latest census data). As a result, relocating to Falcon would save money by reducing the distance drivers must go to collect and deliver mail.
* Relocating to Falcon would potentially allow for closure of the current contract Post Office at State Bank in Falcon, which could save money by consolidating collection and distribution locations.
* A Falcon location would be much more convenient for the large population in Falcon.
* Falcon has many open locations suitable for a suitably sized post office and the associated parking.
* Having an official Post Office in Falcon would significantly reduce confusion with deliveries and service providers since the addresses would now correctly reflect “Falcon” as the location instead of “Peyton” which is nine miles away.
NOTE: WE PROTECT YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION: Aside from putting your name and address on your individual letter to the post office, Friends of Falcon will not share that information or your email address with anyone.

We urge everyone not to wait for the postcard, but to contact the postal service right away, urging them to relocate to Falcon, perhaps on the Northeast side, which would provide easy access to the current location as well as the estimated 38,000 people living in Falcon.
