Being helpful to the officer, she offered up this info: ìMy husbandís right behind me, and heís even drunker than I am.îHotel, motel or police stationMitchell Deslatte walked into a Baton Rouge, Louisiana, hotel and asked the clerk for a room. The clerk wasnít a clerk ó he was a state trooper. And the hotel was actually a state trooper station. Thatís when Deslatte was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.Wrong place, wrong timeTwo men decided a back-to-school event at an office supply store would be the perfect time to do some shoplifting. Store clerks would be busy helping an influx of shoppers. The sale happened to coincide with the annual ìShop with a Copî day when about 60 police officers show up to help children pick out school supplies.
