The Woodmen Hills Metropolitan District Parks and Recreation Department will dedicate new facilities that have been installed at Balcon and Community Center West parks at noon July 23 at Community Center West Park, 11720 Woodmen Hills Drive in Falcon. The facilities include new picnic shelters, picnic tables and fitness course stations that were funded with Colorado Lottery Conservation Trust Funds and El Paso County Parks and Leisure Services Urban Park grant funds. The ceremony will include a ribbon cutting and comments from county commissioners and district representatives. In honor of Military Appreciation Day, district staff will be cooking and serving hot dogs with all the trimmings.
