Meridian Ranch Center events

Please note that all of these events are free and open to the public. One does not need to be a Meridian Ranch resident to participate. Unless specifically stated, all events are held at the Meridian Ranch Recreation Center at 10301 Angeles Road.   • Intro to Line Dance (Line Dance 101) ó Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 1:15 pm: This is a foundational class; no experience required. Students will learn the various steps commonly used in line dancing as well as some patterns demonstrating how these steps might be put together in a dance. This class will meet every Tuesday and Thursday. It is 12 sessions long and will be repeated again next spring.
  • Line Dance 201 is where students will have fun and build confidence while learning actual dances. This class is just starting now, but it is not too late to come on over and join in. We meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:15.
The first class for each group is free. For more details, contact the Meridian Ranch Recreation Center at : 719-495-7119.Potlucks are back: We are changing the day and time. The lunches will be held the third Wednesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. This event is free and open to everyone of all ages. This month, we will meet Aug. 15. The theme is “Farmer’s Market.î This is a great time of year to celebrate the wide variety of fresh produce available here in Colorado. What will these ingredients inspire you to make? Pre-registration is not required.
  • SilverSneaker Classic: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. (While this is not a formal Intro class, it is a good way to get started in muscle strength and flexibility. It is not an aerobic class. SilverSneaker insurance is not required.
Free to SilverSneaker participants. Small fee per class for all others. Need not be a Meridian Ranch resident to participate.No previous experience needed. We will start with the basics and build from there.For friends 65 plus: If your insurance policy or Medicare supplement includes SilverSneakers, you are welcome to come to the Meridian Ranch Recreation Center and take any of our land/water classes for free. You do not have to be a resident to participate, and you are not limited to SilverSneaker classes.
