Colorado Springs saw nearly twice its average snowfall for the month.ìDenver had the second-snowiest March on record, according to the weather serviceís Boulder station. The region near Denver International Airport, which usually gets less than a foot of snow in March, saw 33.6 inches, just short of the record 35 inches in 2003.î Some of the Colorado towns with the most snow include Crested Butte, Vail, Steamboat Springs, Aspen and Telluride. Crested Butte receives a majority of its snow in March (23 inches average). Additionally, the town experiences the most snow days, on average, during March (21.7 days).
