Black Forest Lutheran Church was presented one of the four statewide 2010 AARP Colorado Community Partner Awards in a ceremony at the November Black Forest AARP Chapter meeting.Black Forest Lutheran Church Pastor Ken Hohag and staff member Lisa Regennitter received the award, presented by Stanley Beckner, AARP Colorado outreach specialist. The award recognized the outstanding church programs and activities of 2010 that measurably contributed to the local community. The Black Forest AARP Chapter No. 1100 partnered with the church in several activities that were free and open to the public, including monthly senior socials, semi-annual driver safety classes, support to the Black Forest Cares outreach program and the annual stroke and heart attack education class, which is co-sponsored with the Black Forest Fire and Rescue.
