The Colorado Springs, Falcon, Fountain and Canon City area Jiffy Lube franchise group, Griffin Fast Lube LLC, awarded $3,000 worth of scholarships to two high school students in El Paso County for the 2012-2013 school year. Samara Proper from Vista Ridge High School in Falcon received $1,500 toward her college education.The Jiffy Lube ìWhat Drives Youî scholarship program rewards students based on a 500-word essay detailing what drives them toward their ambitions for the future. Proper wrote that her desire to help people is the reason she is pursuing a medical degree to become a doctor.The scholarships are open to all students regardless of test scores or grades who are currently enrolled in high school. Finalists are selected throughout the school year by a scholarship review committee.Zoria Sankey from St. Maryís High School in Colorado Springs also received $1,500 toward her desire to get a dual degree in nursing and business.Visit http://yourturn2apply.com to find out how to apply for the 2013-2014 school year.
