September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, and JAKs Brewing Co. in Falcon is hosting a day of family friendly events on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.†A 5K will start at 11 a.m., with a suggested donation of $10. Signup begins at 10 a.m. the day of the race.Also featured is Animaland, a company that provides a mobile build and dress your own stuffed animal experience. For $30, you can build a stuffed animal of your choice and choose an outfit for your animal.The Royal Princesses of Colorado will be on site with Disney characters. DJ services will be provided by Performance Announcing.A childhood cancer walk begins at 10:55 a.m.Food trucks and JAKs famous brewed root beer will be available.Admission is free and proceeds from the run and the event vendors will be donated to the St. Baldricks Foundation, the nation’s leading childhood cancer research organization.†The event honors young cancer survivors.JAKs Brewing Company is at†7654 McLaughlin Road.
