Local food pantries reap benefits of fundraiser

The Exchange Club of Falcon presented the proceeds from their annual craft fair to High Plains Helping Hands and Godís Pantry of Ellicott at their December meeting. Each organization received $2,500. HPHH has been the sole recipient of the clubís bounty for the past three years until this year when the craft fair was extended to a two-day event, earning enough funds for both organizations.El Paso County commissioner Amy Lathen received a certificate of appreciation for her support of the Exchange Club and helping to advertise the craft fair. The Exchange Club helps organizations such as HPHH and Godís Pantry of Ellicott, as well as fighting child abuse and honoring youth in the community.
