Local businesses sponsor food and toy drive

Falcon Family Eye Care, The Bar and Papa Murphy’s of Falcon will be sponsoring a food and toy drive for High Plains Helping Hands. HPHH contributes directly to the Falcon community by providing food, school supplies, prayer and counseling to families in need. This time of year they are especially in need of donations of food and toys for families in the area for the holidays. Canned food items or toys can be dropped off at Falcon Family Eye Care, The Bar and/or Papa Murphy’s the week of Dec. 6-11.The three businesses are giving away gift certificates and door prizes for donations. A donation at the Papa Murphy’s of Falcon location automatically enters the donor in a raffle for gift certificates good at the Falcon location. On Saturday, Dec. 11, a donation of three canned food items or one toy earns $5 off each order.Food and toy donations to The Bar will also earn an entry into a drawing for food and beverage at The Bar. The winners of the raffle will be announced Dec. 11 at 5 p.m. at The Bar.Falcon Family Eye Care will be raffling off Nike and Maui Jim hats, backpacks, T-shirts, Coach sunglasses and more for food and toy donations. In conjunction with the HPHH food and toy drive, Falcon Family Eye Care will be hosting their annual trunk show Saturday, Dec. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring top designers such as Coach, Bebe, Maui Jim, Nike, Hart Schaffner Marx, Silhouette and more.
