The Falcon Lions Club is sponsoring a food and specialty items drive for the Food Pantry at 14755 E. Highway 24 in Peyton from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30.This is the first community project for the newly formed Falcon Lions Club. Donated items will benefit needy families in the Falcon community and surrounding area. Signs will be placed at intersections to remind people of the drive and drop-off sites.The Lions club is accepting new charter members through January 2007. The club meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m., and current members are looking for a permanent meeting place, which can also cater a meal.
