The High Prairie Library has received a $3,000 grant from the Falcon Lions Club for assistive technology and books on CD.Assistive technology allows those with limited vision easy access and use of the library’s resources. Hand-held magnifiers and audio books will be available for use at the new library. The club also presented a scholarship to Logan Day, Miami-Yoder High School student. Day is a member of the Leo Club, which is a high school service program sponsored by the Lions Club. Day will attend Wichita State University this fall.The Falcon Lions Club formed in 2007 and has 20 members. Its goal is to encourage people to focus on humanitarian concerns and international understanding.
