At its Oct. 12 meeting, the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners adopted the revised Land Development Code, amending the zoning, subdivision and development regulations for the county. The new code will be implemented April 2, 2007.The revisions to the Land Development Code were developed using a collaborative committee process involving a cross section of community stakeholders. The new codes are more modern and streamlined, implementing policy directions of the commissioners and the county’s development services department. The revised code will complement the recently adopted engineering criteria manual. The code is available online at www.elpasoco.com, at the offices of the development services department at 2880 International Circle, and the county commissioners office at 27 East Vermijo Ave. Questions regarding the Land Development Code should be directed to Mark Gebhart or the development services department at 520-6300.
