Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado held a Rock-n-Bowl event in February and raised more than $10,000. The companies that participated included T Rowe Price, Schmidt Construction, GE Johnson Construction, Colorado Springs Health Partners and the Antlers Hilton.GE Johnson raised the most money as a company – $5,118 ñ and as a team – $2,260. The individual who raised the most money – $650 ñ was from Schmidt Construction. GE Johnson also won the best costume award.Junior Achievement provides programs on financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship to students K thru 12th grade throughout southern Colorado.† Almost 25,000 students received instruction from JA during the 2011-2012 school year.The New Falcon Herald donated to this yearís event.
