A team sponsored by Palmer Chiropractic of Falcon won the Aaron Gutierrez Memorial ISA Division E tournament in Widefield, Colo., the weekend of May 20 and May 21. The team won all five games in the winners’ bracket throughout the tournament and held the teams to under 20 total runs.The team was made up by Eddie Avedikian, Woodmen Hills Community Center West director, and players from Woodmen Hills and the surrounding area.”It was a great team effort and everyone contributed with their unique qualities. “We played awesome defense, and we hit behind runners, played small ball and hit down and hard and waited for opportunities and took full advantage of every situation, Avedikian said. “It was a weekend to remember. We hope to be entering a few more tournaments throughout the next several months and a fall league through the Colorado Springs Park and Recreation Department.”The team is looking for future sponsorships from businesses or individuals so they can play in other tournaments and/or a park and recreation league.
