Horse owner assistance program

Front Range Equine Rescue has received a grant to assist responsible horse owners experiencing financial difficulty.This short-term program is to provide help with basic horse care needs such as hay/feed, farrier, gelding, dental care, vaccinations or vet care for minor illness or minor injury (no emergencies or major medical). There is a limited amount that can be spent per qualified horse.The funder has provided strict guidelines for this program and a limited time to spend the funds. Filling out an application is the first step to receiving assistance. A copy of proof of financial hardship and ownership must be included with the application. A site visit will be conducted for all approved applicants with subsequent follow up to help evaluate the program for possible future funding.Once approved, payment will be made directly to the service provider (i.e., vet clinic, farrier, feed store), not to the applicant. This program provides one-time assistance only.
