Honey, Tea & Me

Same location, new building

By Deb Risden

On Feb. 1, Honey, Tea & Me moved into a new building at 12490 Black Forest Road, giving the store twice the amount of space it had inhabited for two years on the same property on the corner of Black Forest Road and Shoup Road.

Owner Shawndel Sievert said, “What I really love about the space is that it’s big enough to have more than four people, without bumping into each other.” Having more space will allow the business to seat about 20 people for tea.

Sievert has big plans for future events in the new building. She is offering the room for people to rent for their own parties and is seeking a caterer to work with her for more events such as afternoon teas, Sunday brunches and evening high teas. The first event planned is an Easter afternoon tea on April 8. More information can be found on the Honey, Tea & Me Facebook page. Reservations can be made on Facebook or by calling or dropping by the new store in person.

The store continues to offer teas, local honey, varieties of creamed honeys and tea wares. New to the store is bee pollen. Sievert will have a Mother’s Day gift basket for purchase that will include tea, a cup, strainer and honey. Wedding favors are also available.

Sievert said the store has seen many new customers since the move. She said some have said they didn’t know the store existed. She is excited about the future. “I’m looking forward to offering more for our customers in this larger space.”
