Homestead Park grand re-opening

A free ìFishing is Funî event to introduce the public to improvements at Homestead Ranch Regional Park in Peyton will take place Saturday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Colorado Department of Parks and Wildlife is sponsoring fishing stations, information on angler ethics and regulations, fish anatomy, knot tying and casting, archery, shooting stations and more. Free Fishing poles for the first 100 kids.The Trails and Open Space Coalition will offer an educational program on sharing the trail. The Colorado Geological Survey will lead a hike to the rim of the bluff while discussing rocks and unique formations. The event takes place at 16444 Gollihar Road in Peyton.
