News release Nov. 21
In November, High Plains Fellowship in Falcon welcomed Pastor Dave Barfield. High Plains Fellowship is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America, in the Rocky Mountain Presbytery.
Pastor Barfield studied music at the graduate level and completed his master’s in conducting. Following a number of years as a church musician, Dave felt called to pursue theological training at the Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida. While finishing his Masters of Divinity, he was mentored and trained at Christ Community Church (PCA) in Carmel, Indiana, where he served as the executive director of Worship, Discipleship and Operations.
Dave is excited to get busy in the ministries of HPF. “We love that High Plains Fellowship has a family like community, because we believe that relationships are crucial to the spiritual well-being, both of churches and individuals. We are “all in” people, so we are ready to get to know people in the ups and downs of life.
As Colorado Springs continues to develop eastward, High Plains Fellowship is ideally located to be a reformed, gospel-preaching church for the growing population. We want everyone to know the hope and healing that is only found in Jesus Christ.”
A native of the Philadelphia area, Pastor Dave followed his love for the mountains to Colorado many years ago, where he met the love of his life, Jess. They have been married for 10 years and have two children. Jess is a pediatric hospitalist in Colorado Springs.
