The Eagle Riders of the Eastside Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3260 are hosting their first Harvest Festival Saturday, Nov. 3, at 5 p.m. at the Eastside Eagles, at 1830 N. Academy Blvd.The event is open to the public. To gain admission, guests are being asked to donate an item or cash to Crawford House, as well as an unwrapped toy (no plush toys) or cash for Christmas Unlimited. Items accepted for the Crawford House include fresh fruit, bath towels, socks, office supplies, cereal, soap products, paper products and toiletries for men and women.Crawford House provides emergency housing for veterans who are homeless and receiving mental health care. Christmas Unlimited provides gifts for families in need during the holiday season and provides school supplies every fall for those less fortunate. Dinner will be held from 5-6:30 p.m., followed by an auction and guest speakers from 7-8:30 p.m. Dancing will follow from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.The Eastside Eagles has maintained a presence in the community since 1965 and currently hosts more than 600 Aerie and Auxiliary members.For information, contact Janet Lennox at 719-214-9394.
