Linda Quist has been a long time resident of Falcon, and has been in the dog grooming business in Falcon for 15 years, with 30 years of grooming experience. In college, she worked as a dog bather and loved it, so after she received a degree in geology, she went back to school to become a dog groomer. Quist said part of her success as a groomer is about the importance of having a relationship where owners trust the groomers and the dogs are happy to come in. ìMy biggest pride is when the anxious ones come in after two or three times, and they are happy and their tails are wagging,î said Quist, who has four dogs of her own. Lindaís Professional Pet Grooming is three miles from Safeway, located in a quiet, safe and relaxing environment. There is an area where owners can walk their dogs and the dogs can do their business. Quist said she is detail-oriented and caters to each client and their petsí needs. They donít rush the dogs through, if they need a break they get one.Quist also participates in horse triathlons at the American Eventing Championship. There are three phases of the triathlon; the dressage, which is designed to show control and the relationship the rider has with the horse; cross country jumping, which shows stamina, endurance and bravery; and stadium jumping, which shows rider control over the horse and determines the level of the horseís stamina. Quist won all three, which is quite the feat! Her business has been a feat as well. ìWe will do everything we can to work with and around your schedule, and Iím more than happy to give people tours and show them around,î Quist said. ìCall me and letís talk, phone calls are so much more personal; and this is a personal business.î Her phone number is 719-661-1809; she is located at 3815 Pheasant Lane in Falcon.
