Friends and relatives gathered Nov. 11 at the home of Wilma and C.J. Whitney in Falcon to celebrate the 100th birthday of Ruth Miller. Ruth moved from Wisconsin to Falcon with her parents in 1921. Over the years, she has witnessed the area’s transformation from a few scattered farms and ranches to its current configuration. All of Ruth’s children attended Falcon schools, and many of her descendants still live in the area. She held many positions at Broadmoor Dry Cleaners until her late 70s. Today, she lives in Colorado Springs. Ruth said the secret to a long life is “not to make too many mistakes.” She is pictured here with her youngest great-great-grandchild, 5-month-old Kayla Mitchell. Happy Birthday Ruth!
Happy 100th Birthday
