Property owners affected by the Cherokee Metropolitan District’s request for a determination of water rights in the Ellicott area will hold a fundraising event on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Ellicott Community Center at 23355 E. Highway 94 in Ellicott. Admission is $10 per adult and $5 for kids under 10.The event will feature famous homemade spaghetti, salad and dessert, live music, door prizes, a silent auction and a presentation by Julia Murphy on getting a determination of water rights. Door prizes include gift cards for Andy’s Meat Market, Golden Corral, Western Warehouse, Pikes Peak COOP and Henderson Propane, plus gift boxes including spaghetti dinner take home, Tea for Me kits, champagne sets, southwestern style surprises, games and kid items too.
