A few years ago, Doppler, a Labrador service dog, saved his human companion’s life when he brought her the phone so she could call for help. Now, his companion, Pam, would like to return the favor. Doppler needs expensive surgery, and, without it, Doppler may not be able to continue as a service dog. So WE NEED to fetch some money for Pam and Doppler.Farmer Jim’s Feed Store and Latigo Trails Heritage Center are leading the rally. On Dec. 4, Latigo Trails Community Center is hosting a fundraiser for Doppler from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the center and indoor arena at 13710 Halleluiah Trail (Latigo Boulevard in Black Forest between Meridian Road (west) and Elbert Road (east), south of Hodgen Road and north of Woodmen Road.Directions from I-25: Exit at Monument and go east on Highway 05 and go to Highway 83 and go south to Hodgen Road – go east on Hodgen to Meridian and take a right (south) to Latigo Boulevard.Directions from I-25 south: Exit at Woodmen Road and go east 13 miles to Meridian Road, go north (take a left) to Latigo Boulevard.Drag your tail over to the center and join in the activities:SILENT AUCTION: Do your holiday gift shopping and help Doppler at the same time.
