Summertime often includes visiting family or friends across country or across town, cooling off at the movie theater or shopping mall, or enjoying the warmer weather at an outdoor concert or favorite pool. As we creep into August, we soon witness the onset of shortened days, cooler weather and the final family vacation before the start of the school year for area students.Falcon School District 49 spent the summer preparing for the return of area students in the fall. Over the summer, the D 49 Board of Education selected a superintendent to help lead the district. Read Natalie Gowen’s profile about Superintendent Bradley Schoeppey.
