There will be a FREE shredding event June 18, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Black Forest Lutheran Church, 12455 Black Forest Road in Black Forest. Shredding unneeded or outdated personal documents helps protect against identity theft. Individuals will be allowed to shred the equivalent of three copy-paper boxes of personal financial documents no longer needed. Documents will be shredding on-site by a professional shredding operator. No plastic bags or 3-ring binders will be accepted, as they cannot be shredded. Nonperishable food donations for a local food pantry are appreciated. AARP ElderWatch, Mobile Record Shredders, the Black Forest AARP Chapter and the Black Forest Lutheran Church are partnering to provide this community service. Please enter the shredding drop-off line from Black Forest Road. For more information, call AARP Foundation ElderWatch at 1-800-222-4444, Opt 2 or visit the ìfree shredding pageî at http://aarpchapter1100blackforest.weebly.com/index.html.
