On March 22 and March 23, Fort Carson, in conjunction with the Armed Services Blood Program, will conduct a blood drive to collect units of blood that will go directly to the soldiers in the field. The goal is 1,600 units of blood but the more, the better. The blood drive takes place at the special events center at Fort Carson from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 22 and March 23. Hours will be extended if there are donors present. As part of this effort, the U.S. Air Force Academy will collect blood at Arnold Hall from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 19 through March 21.
