Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary will hold its fourth annual ìWarm Your Heartî firewood fundraiser event Veteranís Day weekend ó Saturday, Nov. 14, and Sunday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The fundraiser will take place at the sanctuary property at 5975 Burgess Road in Black Forest ñ- just north of Colorado Springs.Firewood will be fairly priced at $100 per standard truck-bed load for block wood, with a lower price of $85 for all active duty or retired military members.There will also be special pricing for smaller trucks and SUVs. A minimum donation of $50 per load is requested, and the firewood is pick up onsite only. Loading assistance will be available.Proceeds benefit the animals at Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary.
