Applications for volunteer EMS (emergency service) providers can be found on the Falcon Fire Protection District Web site, http://falconfirepd.org or at FFPD headquarters at 7030 Old Meridian Road.Applicants must be Colorado State Certified EMT-basic or higher; or be able to achieve state EMT certification within 30 days. Additionally, an applicant must be a high school graduate or GED certificate holder and 18 years of age or older. Applications are being taken through Sept. 15. A 90-day orientation/EMT Refresher Academy will begin late September, lasting about 90 days.
