TrackTrack is over, and the team has had a successful season this year. State qualifiers included seniors Norman Deen, Rachel Thomas, Nick White and junior Keenen Ballage.Ballage, age 16, took first place in the 4A 100-yard dash at the state championship May 19. His time: 10.75 seconds. Ballage lives in Falcon with his parents, Lavonda and Reggie Ballage. Congratulations to Keenen! And he’ll be back next year.Girls GolfThe girls’ golf team recently won first place in a tournament held at Antlers Creek Golf Course, prevailing over Liberty High School, Lewis-Palmer High School and Saint Mary’s High School. They’ve had a good season, too, and they retain potential for next year.The team was coached by D 49 counselor Amber Stecklein and teacher Lauren Murphy. They won’t be losing any seniors this year, so next year their season could be a hole-in-one experience.
