The Falcon Walmart on Woodmen Road is getting refreshed and remodeled as it celebrates seven years in the area. Customer flow design, interior and exterior repainting and a new fabric area are the main changes visitors will notice at the customer reintroduction event Aug. 15.The remodel began in late June, with most painting and merchandise moves happening in off-peak hours to reduce service interruptions.ìThe store and the capital assets itself is a multimillion-dollar investment in the community,î said Delia Garcia, spokeswoman for Walmart. ìThis remodel is over $100,000. We invest in maintaining our assets so the customer has a good in-store experience.îThe company refreshes and remodels its stores on a regular schedule, Garcia said. ìWe have a cycle for all our stores to make sure theyíre refreshed, upgraded for branding and fixtures and improving the customer experience, which is the bottom line for this remodel,î she said. During a recent visit, store staff pointed out to The New Falcon Herald the updated point of sale systems and changes to the customer service desk area.Customers who enjoy crafts and sewing will be happy with a new fabric department that features a bolt cutting table. ìThis is something customers have told us they want in this store,î Garcia said. ìItís a way we looked at customer demand and what our customers are looking for.îThe store at the Regency shopping center on Woodmen Road and Meridian Road has been open since July 2007. It has won multiple awards within the company for customer experience
