Falcon Senior Services News

All Falcon Senior Services activities are free of charge and served by volunteers. The services are available to persons 60 years of age and over living in the Falcon area. Other services can be arranged, such as meals for homebound seniors and transportation. Call 495-2994 for further information.POTLUCK LUNCHEON: Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. at Falcon Baptist Church at 11095 Eggar Road. The main dish is chicken and rice with zesty cream sauce prepared by volunteer caterer Sandy Fariss. Drinks and table service will be provided. Bring a side dish, salad or dessert.Bob Bernard will entertain with western and folk songs.GARAGE SALE: A GIGANTIC garage sale is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 25 behind FARMERS STATE BANK at Meridian and Highway 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds will benefit programs provided by Falcon Senior Services. Furniture, household items, toys, clothing, collectibles, sporting goods and more will be available. Mark the date on your calendar so you won’t miss this spectacular event.CARD GAMES: play cards at Espresso at Stratfords by arrangement. Get your own group together or contact Beverly Kelty at 495-8437 to join others. A variety of games can be scheduled.Senior exercise programSTRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY EXERCISES: Monday and Friday, 11 a.m. to noon, Grace Community Church. Contact: Nancy Bishop 886-4334.LIGHT AEROBIC EXERCISES: Wednesday (except for the second Wednesday of the month, which is set aside for the luncheon), 11 a.m. to noon, Falcon Baptist Church.
