FALCON SENIOR SERVICES NEWS

All Falcon Senior Services activities are free of charge and provided by volunteers. The services are available to persons 50 years of age and over. For more information, a contact list and a list of services, check out the website at http://PikesPeakSeniors.org.POTLUCK LUNCHEON The next senior luncheon is Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 11 a.m. at Patriot Learning Center, 11990 Swingline Road. The main course is chicken. Bring a salad, side dish or dessert. Beverages and table service are provided. The Harmonizers will entertain. There is no charge for members, but guests pay $5.CAR SHOWThe 12th annual antique car show will be held Aug. 17 in the Walmart parking lot in Falcon, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can register your cars that morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Falcon Senior Services is sponsoring the car show, and Nancy Manley is the chairwoman. Prizes include a variety of gift cards.TRANSPORTATIONFalcon Senior Services is transporting seniors age 60 and over and legally handicapped persons regardless of age to medical appointments on Tuesdays and Fridays. To arrange transportation, call 683-2769. On the second Wednesday of each month, the bus will go to the FSS luncheons at 11990 Swingline Road in Falcon. Call 683-2769 for a ride. We are in need of volunteer drivers. No special license is needed. Call Don at 683-2769 for information and applications. Anyone needing food in Falcon can call the Fountain Valley Senior Center, 520-6471.SENIOR EXERCISE PROGRAMStrength and flexibility exercises are offered free of charge Mondays and Fridays, from 11 a.m. to noon, at Grace Community Church, 9475 Grace Church View.
