At the February meeting of the local business group, the Falcon Professional Development League, the program was supposed to include information from the group, Protect Our Wells, but something went awry as no one showed. However, one of Falcon’s incorporation gurus Art Van Sant (the other guru and Van Sant’s partner in the effort is Jean Woolsey from Falcon Storage) pitched in and mediated a worthy discussion about incorporating Falcon and what it means to local businesses. The FPDL is looking for volunteers to help with its annual Fourth of July business exposition and fair, which take place sometime the weekend of July 4. The holiday falls on a Monday this year. The fireworks at Antler Creek will be happening on Sunday night, July 3.The FPDL will be electing new officers in April, so anyone interested in running for the board should contact group representatives. The next meeting will be Wed., March 2 at the Falcon Fire Protection District firehouse.
