Falcon Park n’ Ride update

By Marylou Bride

After numerous attempts in the past few months to find out what was happening with Falcon Park n’ Ride (amid a rumor that it was going to become a venue for traveling carnivals), we finally found out that it is no longer under the umbrella of El Paso County. The Falcon Park n’ Ride is in the process of being transferred to the city of Colorado Springs.

Elaine Sheridan, a senior public communications specialist with Mountain Metro Transit in Colorado Springs, said, “Currently, we have no plans for expansion. This (the Park n Ride) will become part of our inventory.” She said eventually they will consider what opportunities exist for the Falcon Park n’ Ride.
