On Nov. 12, the Exchange Club of Falcon installed and dedicated a Freedom Shrine in the new Falcon High School. The Freedom Shrine is a display of 29 documents of significant historical events in the formation and growth of the United States. The documents span a period beginning with the Mayflower Compact to Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech. The dedication of the shrine was made possible by sponsors Kent Herbert, MD, and his wife, Tiffany of Falcon Family Medicine and Lorne and Beth MacDonald, Falcon Physical Therapy. The National Exchange Club is the only organization authorized by an act of Congress to duplicate the documents contained in a Freedom Shrine. Individuals or businesses can sponsor a Freedom Shrine for display in schools, libraries, hospitals or public buildings.
