Tony Parsram, 2005 graduate of Falcon High School, marched in the Jan. 20 inaugural parade in Washington, D.C.Parsram is a senior at the U.S. Air Force Academy and marched with his squadron, which was chosen from among the AFA’s 40 squadrons.”They rate you on military standards, athletics and academics,” Parsram said. “Our squadron was overall the best, so we were given the privilege to march.”(The cold weather) was a bit of an obstacle to overcome, but I think we did just fine.”While in Washington, Parsram and his squadron stayed at the U.S. Naval Academy. “It was very interesting for us to view a service academy that’s not our own. It was very educational,” he said. Parsram also toured the Capitol. “That was the second or third time I’ve been there, but it was just as amazing as the very first time.”Parsram, who lives next to Meadow Lake Airport, said he’s studying economics at the AFA and will attend flight school when he graduates.
