Falcon Fire Protection District board candidates

Dena BramhallBramhall said she would like the Falcon Fire Protection District to devise a strategic vision within the fire department. The FFPD, Bramhall said, is in need of long-term budgeting and strategic analysis that would allow the district to accurately forecast future initiatives.Bramhall has a bachelor of science in management information systems and computer information systems and a master’s degree in computer information systems. She is experienced in forecast analysis, business development, program management and strategic planning.Mike CollinsCollins is currently vice president of the FFPD board. He is running for re-election to promote and enhance the progress made in his last term, including the purchase of new equipment, increased firefighting staff, reduced call times and increased benefits for firefighters.Collins said he believes the FFPD is over burdened with the growth in the area. The increase of calls and current staffing levels stress the system in times of multiple calls. He proposes to remodel two stations to accommodate on-site crews and funding a new station in Claremont Ranch. A mill increase may be the only solution to providing the increased service needs, he said.Alex DonnellDonnell currently serves as the FFPD treasurer and has also served as board chairman. He is running again to move the FFPD forward in the current environment of high growth. Donnell said he believes the district has some catching up to do to fully service the district. He would consider proposing sub-districts in Claremont Ranch and other areas of the current district to better serve the area.A FFPD board member since 2002, Donnell is a certified firefighter/EMS and president of Colorado Comprehensive Wealth Management, which provides financial planning services.Brandon PaynePayne said he believes his diversified background in business and fire service will help him identify priorities and build reasonable goals for the FFPD. He also served five years in the U. S. Air Force.Kevin W. RayA career banker of 17 years, Ray said he wants to bring an economic perspective to the board. He sees various boards and commissions working in the area without clear direction and coordination. As a board member, he would make strategic planning a priority.Ray is vice president of The State Bank in Falcon.
