It’s absolutely amazing that citizens can be so naÔve to the needs of their fire department. How could so many voters have voted NO on 5B and 5C? Is it possible that people are simply not capable of understanding what the fire department is here for? Or were they born under a rock? It’s quite obvious these no-voters never bothered to research ANYTHING about the fire department issues before voting NO. Help does not miraculously drop out of the sky when you dial 911.Residents who live within five miles of the fire station: You think you’ve got it made because your homeowner’s insurance is good with your ISO rating of six? You better wake up and shake those rocks out of your head. In case you haven’t noticed, there are commercial buildings rising around you. Whether you’re within five miles of the station or sitting in the station parking lot, your ISO rating WILL change and you WILL be paying more for your homeowners’ insurance. You need to find out the facts before you actually think your vote is the correct vote. The firefighters are certainly not politicians pocketing your money, for goodness sake. They are not selling wares for profit. They are not wheeling and dealing in the almighty green. They are your angels in disguise, waiting by their pagers, ready to protect and/or SAVE you. HELLO! WAKE UP!Victoria RiccardiFalcon
