At the Dec. 2 Falcon Exchange Club meeting, Isola Sotomayor-Seurer was presented a savings bond and plaque as “youth of the month” for December. Isola ranks 23rd in a class of 257 students, and her personal goals include a bachelor’s degree in biology and a doctorate in veterinary medicine. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Air Force Junior ROTC and is active in school clubs, sports, church functions and volunteering.Dale Misner, chairman of the Community Service Committee, also recognized Mel Sharpe and Jean Woolsey. Sharpe was given a plaque honoring her service to the club and community, and Woolsey was presented the Book of Golden Deeds Award, the National Exchange Club’s longest running project.
