Falcon Community Builders for Classrooms releases 2007 annual review

Dave Martin, Falcon School District 49 Board of Education member, and a Falcon Community Builders for Classrooms (FCBC) board of directors member, released a letter inviting the community to review the FCBC 2007 Annual Review that was recently completed by the firm of Biggs Kofford.”It has been my privilege over the past couple of years to serve and work with the builders and developers of Falcon School District 49,” Martin said. “The stewardship of this organization has been remarkable and the completion of the new Falcon School District 49 Vista Ridge High School and the Second Story Wing Project would not have happened without the commitment and the financial contributions of the builders and the developers in Falcon School District 49.”In 2005, the builders and developers in D 49 came together to assist in finding a solution to the growing problem of overcrowding in the district schools. Since that date, the district and developers have worked together to alleviate overcrowding by providing capital construction dollars to the district to build needed classrooms.Since 2005, FCBC has raised over $2.5 million by assessing a voluntary fee to the builders who acquire a building permit in the city of Colorado Springs or El Paso County to build a new home in the district.
