The Falcon cheerleaders ended their summer by attending a United Cheerleading Association cheerleading camp held in the high school gym. Both junior varsity and varsity squads attended the difficult two-day camp, learning, cheers, dances, stunts and team bonding – all to improve their skills for the upcoming season.”Team bonding is really a key element within a squad,” said senior and varsity captain Samantha McKee, “If you don’t know the girls on your squad, then it becomes more difficult to work with one another.”The cheerleaders learned a variety of new cheers, dances and stunts that they’ll use this next season. “I think we’re going to do very well this season” said junior and junior varsity captain Jessica Holt. “We have all become so close. We’re like one big family.”
