Falcon cheerleaders take fifth spot in state competition

The Falcon High School state competition for cheerleaders is finally over, and the team is pleased with achieving a top spot in the competition. After three months of 20-hour-a-week practices, it’s a relief to know we made it to the top, said Falcon senior Dana Smith. The girls competed in the competition in Denver in December and and made it to the finals, where the top six teams competed again. The Falcon cheerleaders took fifth place out of 44 teams, which is a great accomplishment. Their routine was choreographed by the seniors and coaches of the squad, so having such a good score shows the talent of the team.
