The July meetings of the Falcon area business networking and advocacy organizations focused on improving membership numbers and ensuring that current members are aware of resources available for small businesses in the Pikes Peak region.Eastern Plains Chamber of CommerceThe chamber held its monthly meeting July 2. Akita Marcoulier, executive director of the Small Business Development Center, spoke to the organization about the resources available to small businesses through the organization. The SBDC is now located in the El Paso County Citizens Service Center on Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs.The chamber will host a membership mixer Aug. 19 at Suri Ridge Coffeehouse. Bob Deck of Eastern Plains Insurance won the free membership drawing and donated the membership credit to Suri Ridge.LnB Connectorsí B.E.E.R.Falcon Business Entrepreneurs Enhancing Relationships held group discussions in July on helping clients arrange credit through banks, PayPal and other companies to overcome cost objections to a businessís products and services.Falcon B.E.E.R. meets every Friday morning, 8:30 a.m. at Guadalajara Family Mexican Restaurant.Falcon PEPNetSweet Life Massage, Brunoís Heating and Cooling and Carpet Direct joined the Falcon chapter of PEPNet in July. Falcon PEPNet meets every Friday morning, 8:30 a.m. at La Mission Mexican Restaurant.
