At the Jan. 23 special meeting of the Falcon School District Board of Education, the board approved a contract with Falcon Broadband to provide the district wide telecommunications network services. After reviewing proposals from five carriers, including CenturyLink, through a competitive bidding process; the board gave Falcon Broadband a score of 94 ñ the next highest score was 76. The fiber-to-the-school solution from Broadband replaces the wireless WAN solution currently provided by Trillion. (Stay tuned for more information in the March issue of the NFH.)
