Falcon School District 49 Transition Services and the Pikes Peak Interagency Transition Team is sponsoring the Community Resource Fair Wednesday, April 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the City Auditorium ñ 221 E. Kiowa ñ in downtown Colorado Springs. Local agencies, businesses and resources in the community that provide services for adolescents and young adults with various disabilities will be on hand to provide information about the services available. The event is free and for families who have a child with a disability, specifically a middle or high school student, but families of younger children as well as educators are encouraged to attend as well.Event planners hope for as many as 200 booths offering a wide spectrum of resources, such as assistive technology, community and residential services, community education, employment, financial assistance, health and mental health services, recreation and leisure activities, respite care, support and advocacy, transportation, driversí training, post-secondary education, etc.Note: If School District 11 is closed because of a snow day on April 4, the fair is rescheduled for April 18.
