Thanks to a multitude of sponsors and players, The Exchange Club of Falcon hosted a golf tournament in June at the Antlers Golf Course in Falcon. The tournament benefitted prevention of child abuse and other charities. The New Falcon Herald topped the list of sponsors, along with Al Serra Chevrolet, which offered a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado for a hole-in-one at the 17th hole. However, the sun came out; and, after the luncheon, the first-place team of Matt Brookshire, Jeff Woodward, Bob Schaller and Bud Cole received trophies.Thank you to the manager of Hooters at the Citadel, Tammy Steele, for bringing Hooter girls to invite golfers to participate in the putting contest. The putting winner was Howard Hansen.
