On Feb. 12, the Exchange Club hosted guest speakers from Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care at their last meeting. Sonya Bergeron, veteran liaison, and Andrew Petersen, executive director, talked about their inpatient beds at Penrose Hospital, and said they are in the construction phase of having an inpatient unit at their place of business, which should be completed this summer. They are a Level 5 Partner in the national We Honor Veterans Program, and Bergeron said they are in need of quilters to supply crochet/knitted quilts to the veterans.
The Exchange Club of Falcon welcomed two new members in 2025, Mike and Linda Kennedy.
The next major event is the annual charity golf tournament at the Antler Creek Golf Club. Save the date: June 13. For more information on the event, contact Andy Conder at 719-337-6990.

Murder mystery night a success
The first annual Murder Mystery Dinner FUN-draiser was held Feb. 15, at the Still Waters Ranch on Falcon Highway. Despite the snow that arrived a few hours earlier, there was a great turnout. The cast of Red Herring Productions mingled with the crowd and acted out scenes from the 1880s Old West, with a theme, “Matchmaking is Murder.” The Culinary Arts students at Patriot High School provided the fabulous dinner. Thank you to all the sponsors who made this night special and allowed us to give back to charities we sponsor: Stratus IQ, The State Bank, ENT Federal Credit Union and Mission BBQ.
Highway Cleanup
The Exchange Club had their first cleanup of the year: a 2-mile stretch on Falcon Highway, from the Meridian Road intersection to Good Fortune Road. Eight club members went out on Feb. 4 and completed the 2-mile stretch in two hours; 15 bags of trash were collected. The club does quarterly cleanups.

Boy Scouts
On Feb. 18, the Exchange Club of Falcon had the honor of presenting four new Eagle Scouts of Falcon Troop 149 with a certificate and monetary award for attaining their Eagle Scout status. On Feb 18, Troop 149 (led by Scoutmaster Darrell Guy) had their annual Court of Honor at the Meadowlake Airport location.
