Exchange Club news

The formation of an Exchange Club in Falcon continues to grow in membership. The following have joined the membership ranks the past month: Pedro Gonzales, Dale Miser and Rev Norman Barnette. The club also wishes to express its thanks and appreciation to Tom Cline, spokesperson for the Falcon Incorporation Committee; Tim Hunker, operations manager for Woodman Hills Development; Fire Chief Trent Harwig, Falcon Fire District; and Brandy Christon, El Paso County Sheriff’s Crime Prevention Unit, all of whom generously gave of their time to address issues of interest to the residents of Falcon and surrounding community.An executive committee has been formed, chaired by Bob Miller. The committee will begin to formally sanction the organization and receive its charter from the National Exchange Club. The Falcon members are assisting the Exchange Club of Colorado Springs fundraising efforts for the Prevention of Child Abuse. Members of both clubs will be selling raffle tickets at the Big “R” every third weekend, beginning Aug. 19. The raffle is for a two-horse trailer or $2,000 cash, winner’s choice. Tickets are tax deductible and all proceeds go to the Prevention of Child Abuse. Your support is appreciated.
