Exchange Club news

On 20 April, The National Exchange Club sponsored a nationwide Child Abuse Prevention awareness project. Exchange Clubs throughout the United States distributed leaflets between the hours of 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in their respective time zones. Exchange club members from Falcon handed out leaflets at Farmer’s State Bank, The State Bank and Big “R”. A total of 370 flyers were distributed.The Exchange Clubs of Colorado Springs and Falcon have kicked off their annual fundraising raffle. Monies earned will be used for the prevention of child abuse and other community projects. This year, the grand prize is a W-W Trail Boss two-horse trailer, or a four-day, three-night cruise to the Bahamas on Carnival Cruise Lines or your choice of a three-day, two-night “get-away weekend” to San Francisco, Las Vegas, Key West or Orlando. All trips are for two persons and include round-trip air and $500 mad money. The weekend trips also include a rental car.ìExchangitesî will be selling tickets for a $10 donation, which is tax deductible, at the Big “Rî beginning in May. Tickets may also be purchased by calling Joe Bauer at 262-9222 or Chuck Burnett at 749-0507.The Falcon Exchange Club meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. During the month of May, the club will meet for dinner at 6:30 p.m. on a trial basis at the Latigo Trails Equestrian Center.If you wish to become involved in a dynamic, enthusiastic, forward looking service club, call Joe Bauer at 262-9222.
